Gurkha Ghost Shadow= this is the only cigar I can honestly say made me feel a little high, amazing blend of tastes, sweet and chocolatey, every pull made me smile back looking at the cigar thinking "Quality "

It's proof that the flavour and experience we all get from cigars is subjective and influenced by many factors. Paul's experience is the polar opposite to my own. I found the cigar lit well, burnt evenly, had a perfect draw and had just the right amount of flavour for me. After a good meal and paired with a good pilsner, I thoroughly enjoyed this cigar to the point I fully intend to get more once they are back in stock.

Received as part of the monthly subscription, 1st thing, other cigars in the monthly bundle I'm very much looking forward to trying and the bundle is very good value for money so I can highly recommend it. Now for the Gurka ghost, I have always avoided the gurka brand in the past due to the majority of the reviews being quite frankly bad, so in all honestly was looking forward to trying this when it arrived so I could make up my own mind. On looks it ticks all the right boxes, and construction appears good. On light up 1st couple of puffs are strangely absent of flavour, I mean totally absent. now the 1st 3rd continued in this way, as did the 2nd and 3rd! burn was not great and required touching up along the way, which is no major issue for me. Amount of smoke it puts out is good, smell not great but not bad, but flavour wise it was like smoking dust and did not make for an enjoyable experience, I even considered just letting it die out, but I'm a tight git so still smoked it till the end. So unfortunately it seems a case of do believe the hype, for this one at least, Gurka cigars are really not very good.
